Requests for access to records must be made in writing using the prescribed Form 2 (available from the Information Regulator website) and submitted to the Information Officer.
The request must provide sufficient detail to identify the record, the requester’s identity, and the form of access required.
We will respond within 30 days (or longer if an extension is required and you are notified).
Prescribed fees as set out in the PAIA Regulations may apply. A request fee may be payable before a request is processed. Access fees may apply depending on the nature and volume of the records requested. Details of applicable fees are available on request.
Access to records may be refused on the grounds set out in Chapter 4 of PAIA, including (but not limited to) protection of personal privacy, commercial information of third parties, confidential information, safety of individuals, and legally privileged information.
We process personal information of customers, vendors, employees and website users for the purposes of operating the marketplace, providing services, processing orders, payments, communication and compliance with legal obligations.
Categories of personal information may include names, contact details, addresses, identification numbers, payment information and transaction history.
Personal information may be shared with payment providers, courier partners, service providers and as required by law.
We implement reasonable technical and organisational security measures to protect personal information. Cross-border transfers, if any, are carried out in accordance with POPIA requirements.
